DFI
Workflow Session 2
My knowledge of learn from the Manaiakalani pedagogy of learn create share is increasing with the wealth of knowledge shared in today's DFI. The thought "Teaching causes learning, effective teaching accelerate learning" resonates with me as we are challenged to share our learning with others.
Hang out practicum was great and more practice will be required to master. There was great value in this tool enabling presenter to share a presentation document to support their topic and hopeful accelerate participants learning.
Google Keep is a tool that will enable efficiency of my time allowing collaboration by trialing shared check list with the whaanau to see if it increases work productivity.
Email management is a area of weakness so found it every valuable in building my confidence with lots of practice and being strategic a using a system that works effectively and efficiently for me.
I found a new friend in Mr Onetab as I am guilty of having lots of tabs open causing the slowing of the computer response time. One tab and Toby Mini tools will help me regularly collect tabs that I use all the time to support effective workflow.
Teaching the whaanau how to use Hang out to increase participation in weekly meetings if they are unable participant in person. Shared Check list to support delegated tasks but can still participant.
I will be using all the I have learnt today to management my person email, communication with whaanau and friends.
Kia ora Jan,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your reflection on our DFI workflow sessions. Onetab and toby mini are both great tools - Gerhard has tried to get me to use both and yet somehow I still have a bunch of tabs in multiple windows. I think I need to develop a habit of using them in order to increase my workflow and save my computer battery!
How have you found using google Meet/ Hangouts during the lockdown? I'm incredibly grateful that we had the opportunity to explore this tool prior to us moving to alert level 4 so that I could use it with my students and give other staff at my school a crash course!
